The combination of chili and wine is much tastier than you think; this sauce proves it.
1½ tablespoons canola oil
½ chopped onion
30 grams of chile pasilla, cleaned and boiled
125 grams tomato
1 garlic clove
325 ml red wine
150 ml water
½ teaspoon dried fines herbes
Salt and pepper
- Heat the tomato, chilies, onion and garlic until everything is smooth.
- Add wine and water and cook for 10 minutes.
- Add herbs and cook for 5 more minutes
- Serve warm or cold to accompany carne asada tacos or chicken. Enjoy!
